Brigadeiro

The most popular Brazilian candy, it's not just kids' favorite, but adults' too!



Ingredients:
  • 1 can of Sweet Condensed Milk
  • 4 tbsp of cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp of butter
  • 1 tsp of sugar
  • Chocolate or colored Sprinkles

Cooking Directions:

  • In a low flame, put butter in a pan and start to melt.
  • Before the butter melts completely, add the condensed milk, the cocoa, and the sugar.
  • Stir until obtain a sticky, smooth texture.
  • Its ready when the mixture doesn't stick to the bottom of the pan when tilted.
Serving ideas:

1 - Truffle shape (ideal for serving in parties):
  • Pour the mixture in a large plate and let it cool down for 20 minutes.
  • With some butter on your hands, use a spoon to get some amount of the chocolate and roll up into balls (like a truffle). Try to make all in the same size.
  • Put the balls in a bowl with sprinkles and place in a serving plate.
2 - In a little cup (also recommended for serving in parties, and takes less time to make):
  • Pour the mixture in little paper or plastic cups.
  • Put sprinkles on top to decorate.
3 - Serving in a Bowl:

  • Place the chocolate in a bowl, add some sprinkles, and enjoy by the spoonful!
